10.27.12

It has been another few days of getting adjusted to living here in the middle of no where. I am starting to get things out of the boxes a little more each day! I am very proud because I have cooked dinner and lunch everyday that we have been done here. I have kept the laundry going at all times. It is slowly starting to feel like I am growing up and I don't know how I feel about that.
I really want to spend more time with Jd but doesn't look like that will be happening anytime soon. He is working long hours and enjoying every minute of it. Tonight I get to go to the carnival in town so you know that it's a big step for me. I absolutely hate this holiday but I want to meet new people in this town and make some business contacts.

So earlier this week we had spaghetti and with the left over meat I made a Chili Stew in the crock pot.
It was amazing if I do say so myself! I am eating a cup of it right now! :)

Ingredients
(1) Can of hot dog chili
(1) Can of green beans
(1) Can of whole kernel corn
(1) can of diced hominy
(1) can of tomato puree
(1) can of tomato sauce
(1) can of ranch style beans
(1) can of red kidney beans
Left over meat from spaghetti night.

Now I don't drain any of these cans, I let the liquid work with the heat and mixture. It is amazing! I also make jalapeno corn bread to serve with it. Usually there is shredded cheese to go with it.

Now, I am off to try and get my scentsy numbers up.. I am close to a promotion now!

10-25-12

I haven't been able to post in the last few days so this one is going to be a doosy! We made the graduation from cleet, and got all of our last few belongings and headed for our new home in Hollis Oklahoma. So far I love Harmon County except for the fact that these people do not have the ability to make tea or sweet tea in any capacity! I have tried it from every store/resteraunt in the county and it isn't good at all! You guys know that I am a girl who has to have her tea & sweet tea...oh and my starbucks/keurig coffee maker!

I haven't got the entire house out of cardboard yet but I am getting there slowly! I have got to come up with some storage ideas for my office! I can't keep digging through box after box looking for an order. I can't even start my OSU quilt that I want to make this fall/winter! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

It has been a stressful but not stressful week if that makes any sense at all! I know that some of you will understand that, and probably give me an amen!I am just ready for everything that is in my future down here.

Today I went to fill out an application/interview at a local medical clinic...I really want the job! I would be working with a close friend and it would get me out of the house at least a few days out the week.

I have been working really hard to earn my Scentsy promotion and incentive trip and cannot wait to be able to announce that I have earned both. Please keep praying for me. : )

Until I have more..

Lily Bean Couture Product Review

Howdy guys! It's me again and I am here to give you a review on my products from Lily Bean Couture! She is very pleasant to work with! She took my order and shipped within 6 business days! I had ordered a large wipe case, and a small wipe case. I wanted it to match my LV purse and travel set and that is what she gave me. I was so happy to get my product. It came with a tracking number (DC) from USPS. It was a pleasure doing business with her. I have had her product for over a year now I believe and it sure has been worth the money I paid.

A little about the owner:
Lily Bean Couture officially opened in February of 2011 after the birth of my second child, Lily. I had been tinkering with a few things and making wipe cases just was it. It was a new found joy. It started as just a hobby but totally took off. July of 2011 Lily Bean was featured on Zulily.com. In January of 2012 we introduced sewn items such as bibs, burp cloths, diaper clutches and blankets.

Right now we are featuring our 30x36" blankets in an array for different prints for $40 shipped with free personalization. We have plans for a super awesome Cyber Monday Sale as well as other sales throughout the month of November.
www.facebook.com/lilybeancouturedesigns
www.lilybeancouture.etsy.com

The above pinstripe one was gifted to me. I was told it is from Lily Bean Couture as well though I do not know that it is!
I use it for my car! In the picture you see that I have Germ-ex (which has since been all used up and replaced with a scentsy fragrance foam.) Lotion I got with a coupon for FREE but has since been replaced with Layers Hand Cream by Scentsy, Carmex that I got for FREE with a coupon, Ibuprofen that is being replaced today because it's empty, my Grace Adele Pen and pad of paper, DILL PICKLE SUNFLOWER SEEDS my absolute favorite snack for when I am on the road driving, hair ties and lots of them because I seem to use those more often than not.

Also included but not pictured is:
A trash bag
A walmart bag
A diaper (just in case I have a kid with me or a mom needs it)
A few band-aids
A tube of neosporin
A package of tissues
A safety Pin
A $20 bill
2 Granola Bars
1 Water Bottle
1 flashlight (mine also doubles for a tazer)

Please visit her facebook page & Tell her An Oklahoma Daughter sent you!

10.11.12

If you know me you know that I have always wanted to get married on 10.11.12 and I am here to tell you....it didn't happen. We still don't have an engagement. I know most of you are going "Really?!?!" "Still?!" Trust me I know I am thinking it and saying it more than you are. However, I somewhat understand that timing is everything and we are in the middle of a huge move and it will happen when it happens. I am really starting to feel the shockwave of everything about this move. We are hitting road bumps everytime we turn around! I have to say that I am happier out in the wilderness of our new home. The peace and quiet is amazing. Yes I am going to miss my friends and social life up here but I am not going to miss the loud sirens every hour of the day...and night too! The dogs barking at each other all night...the sounds of coyotes is so much better.
I am excited to be able to re do my office using all the pintrosities I can manage, cooking because there are no places to eat, running in the country and never fearing being hit by a car, eventually having horses and livestock...I just can't wait!

It was a long day spent working around the house just waiting for my Dad to come over to drop off their old couch and pick up my recliner. I am sad to see that recliner go but I love the fact that we now have a sectional that has two recliners and a hide-a-bed. It is going to be AHHHHHhhmazing!
Things are slowly going to start coming together in the next few days.

My Scentsy business is booming and I am really nervous/excited about my job interview. It is going to be amazing. I really have been praying that I will get the job because I fear that staying at home in the new house is going to be a lot different than staying home at the Wagoner house. I think it would be good for me to be in the workplace again and feeling like a "grown up" even though I don't think that will ever sound right coming from my mouth.

I also got to hold my friends new puppies! I have one of her Yorkies but I swear Trigger was never that size!

I am excited to be posting my first boutique review on 10.12.12 I hope that you will stick around to read it and that you enjoy following me because their is a lot coming in the near future!

XOXO
Lo
You have to love this don't you?! It's adorable. . .
Trigger and I last week! :)
They look so tiny in my hands. This is just a few hours old.

10/9/12 - Good News

I went to my mom's work where I ate lunch with the residents for the October birthday luncheon! It was a great joy as it is every month. Then I donated a couch to a resident there who needed one. Got my hair cut & trimmed. Then the most important thing happened....I got a job interview for the HC! I am so estatic and cannot wait to tell you more about it!

10.08.12

So I have been reading my bible everyday whether I read an actual bible or the app on my phone. I have also added several people to my facebook newsfeed such as Joel Olsteen, Proverbs 31, Bible Verse Daily, and etc. I haven't been posting for my followers to read and feel. It's very hard for me to stick to something such as writing everyday. I was never one for journals. However, we (Jd & I) are about to (practically right dab in the middle of doing so) embark on a huge step in our lives...MARRIAGE?! No, we have decided (rather told) to move to a place called Hollis, Oklahoma. I like to refer to it as Harmon County (I like the sound of that) and because there are only 2000 people in our entire county! Jd took a position as an Oklahoma Game Warden and we are just thrilled to be setting out on this crazy wild adventure. Now, what I was getting at is that it is going to be a challenge for me with a lot of upcoming changes and I think getting this blog up and going is the best source of relief I will have. I will be posting about anything and everything. I will post the crafts I do, the recipes I try from pinterest, to the crazy adventures of our new life.
I hope to keep this blog going (and growing) till I become not only an Oklahoma Daughter, but an Oklahoma Wife, Oklahoma Mother, and who knows maybe even Oklahoma Grandmother.

So here starts the journey...

(Let me catch you up)
March 2012 - Hired as Oklahoma Game Warden - Like begins to change...
May 2012 - leaves for cleet - I go crazy
June 2012 - still at cleet - I am getting somewhat adjusted while beginning to prepare and pack.
July 2012 - We get a glimpse of what Holidays will be like now - he's still at cleet - more packing & moving takes place.
August 2012 - He is still at cleet - I am getting more packed - I get a good shock and see the new place and what all our little Harmon County is made of (all one stop light)
September 2012 - He is still at cleet - I am finishing up packing - have a really big month with Scentsy
October 2012

So this weekend we took one of our final loads of stuff to the HC. I really cannot understand where all of this stuff came from?! We have tons! I even threw stuff away during the packing process and am still weeding through it. I am starting to get better accustomed to the life we are going to have in HC. At first they told me we are going to have "big wig" television - that is my wording for something other than 2,6,8, & 11! I sigh and say at least I will have DVR and will be able to keep up with my favorite television series without having to wait to watch them on netflix. Then they tell me I won't have internet?! Honey Boo Boo say what?! !?!?! A big bless your heart came after that! Mind you I already learned of having NO, NO service when I get to the HC. So, now we are looking for an internet provider and a cell phone provider for me!! Go figure the two most used items of my average day!

Then I found out that the nearest Starbucks is 1:45 away?! How do people ever survive without starbucks?! This must be why most cowboys prefer their coffee black! I know after reading this you are probably wondering how I ever considered myself a country/cowgirl of a person?! Well, you see it's really easy to explain that one. I grew up that way move to the "town" and got used to things....however after our first night in a real bed in the new house I quickly realized that Jd and are meant to be together. We blurted out, almost simultaneously "it's quiet" there were no sounds of car horns, jake brakes, sires, dogs barking, etc... We were in HOG HEAVEN!

So as you can tell I am slowly finding my own self in this little adventure that God has blessed me with. Yes, I will miss my friends, and family but God will put new people in my life - not to replace the others but to remind me that I am his creation and he is not finished with me yet.
Who knows this might be the new road for my Scentsy business, my blog, my life, my whatever...who knows?! My God does!

So keep following me if you want to learn about cool things, funny things, great recipes, pintrosities I have done, and all the little quirks to my life. I know I won't have many followers but the ones I do have will be welcomed and enjoyed!

I know that some of my postings may not be grammatically correct but they are straight from the heart and if you read them long enough you will start to hear my voice and will soon come to enjoy it for what it is ... me

Is your name safe?

I decided to start following the Proverbs 31 Woman devotional until I can find one that better suits me. I will copy and paste each day what I read into a post for others to read. I am going to have my quiet time & prayer time every day for 31 days, eventually it will become a habit...a good one.

Isaiah 62:3-5
Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

From today on you are a new creation. You past is your past. Your sins are washed away. You have been made new again.

2 Corinthians 5:17
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

How much energy are you currently devoting to thinking about your past?

My answer:
I currently spend a lot of time not regretting my past but wishing that some things had been different or not happened. I have to realize though that the past is the past and I have a brand new day in front of my. I can't change the things in my past but I can protect and perfect the days I have ahead of me.

Name one way that this energy can be used in a positive way.

My answer:
Instead of using it toward my past I can get up and start a new daily routine that includes keeping my house cleaned for J.D. , rather for us, working out, eating healthy, having a relationship with God, and working every day.

Psalms 103:5-6
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

"So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised." Hebrews 10:35-36 (NIV)

One night I was cleaning our kitchen and found this little rubber thingy on our countertop. It wasn't until after I threw it away that I realized it was the power button for our TV remote control. As I dug through the trash to find it, I regretted how quickly I'd thrown it away.
Then, as I reached to pull it out, I sensed God showing me that's how easily I throw away my confidence—without recognizing it.

It's usually very subtle. Sometimes I'll be thinking about something I want to do or sense God calling me to, and a feeling of uncertainty comes over me and whispers to my heart, You can't do that. You're not good enough. Out of the blue, I'll just get that awful, insecure feeling.

Too many times in the past I've gone along with it, tossing my confidence into the trash without even thinking.

For years, I didn't tell anyone about my lack of confidence because I figured if I told them all the reasons I doubted myself, they'd see my flaws and agree with me. Honestly, I was convinced I was the only one who struggled with doubt.

However, I didn't call it doubt. Maybe you don't either. Sometimes I called it worry—worry that I was going to disappoint someone, worry that I might make a mistake and get criticized for it, worry that I might start something but not be able to finish.

Other times I'd call it fear—fear that I wouldn't measure up, fear that I'd look stupid, fear that I'd look prideful thinking I could do something special for God. What I've realized over the past several years is that these feelings may end up as fear or worry, but their source is self-doubt.

What about you? Do you ever question your worth as a woman? How often do you agree with the whispers of self-doubt and throw away confidence that should be yours as a child of God?

I've learned to ask God to show me when I'm tempted to trash myself and then depend on Him to help me trash my insecurities instead. Want to join me? Let's hold onto God's promises and depend on His truth for the security we need and the confidence we long for:

• When self-doubt whispers, "I can't do that. I'm going to fail and look foolish." Trash that lie and hold onto this truth: "The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" (Hebrews 13:6, NIV 1984)

• When self-doubt whispers, "I'll never change." Trash that lie and hold onto this truth: "For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in [me] will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:6, NASB)

• When self-doubt whispers, "This is too hard for me. I don't have what it takes to..." Trash that lie and hold onto this truth: "No, in all these things [I am] more than a [conqueror] through him who loved [me]." (Romans 8:37, NIV)

Dear Lord, I want to become a woman with a confident heart in Christ. Will You help me recognize when I trash myself, and remind me to trash my insecurities instead? I want to persevere in Your truth so that when I have done Your will, I will receive what You have promised. When doubt or insecurity tell me I can't do something, I will remember that all things are possible to her who believes. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
By Renee Swope
Found (Copy & Paste) from: http://www.proverbs31.org/devotions/how-stop-trashing-yourself-2012-09/

Hebrews 10:39
39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Mark 9:23
23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

My thoughts:
To those of you that know me personally know that I am a very confident person but truthfully there are times every day that I feel that I cannot do something. I am so confident and have great self worth about a lot of things but others not so much. For instance everyone around me thinks that I am a great IC for Scentsy and that I know everything there is to know -- even come to me for advice and questions answered. The truth about that though is that I feel that I don't know it all and that there is know way that I can ever know it all. I even feel inadequate when people come to me because I don't feel that I teach them and answer them correctly all the time.

I don't always have self worth when it come to my Photography. I always get compliments and people rave about my work but when I look at my own work it is a completely different story. So, I will definitely have to work on this
topic. I am so glad that I found these two devotions today! I cannot wait to have great self-worth through Jesus!

I hope that this helps all of my followers and that you will comment with your thoughts, what you took away from the devotions today and suggestions for topics we should cover!
You can also follow Proverbs 31 Ministries on facebook.

Song of the day to go along with the devotions:

...relationship...NOT...religion...

I am not the perfect christian and I do not lead the perfect life. I just want to get that out there before we get started. I have my beliefs and I believe that you are to have a relationship with God not be a part of a religion. I was raised southern baptist but now that I am 22 years old I have my own opinions and beliefs. There are things that were taught to me as I was growing up tat I either took the wrong way or didn't comprehend completely. I have decided that because of things that have happened in my life and in my friends life that I want to get back to the basics of the bible and prayer.

So, I want to have an open blog about our relationships with God. I want to have a prayer request & chain, a devotional page, and a suggestions for studies page. If you have a prayer request post it and everyone that sees it will pray for you and add it to their prayer list. If you don't have a devotional I would love for you to follow my studies, just remember that my devotions are my own opinions of what I read in my devotion book and what I read in my bible. If you have suggestions on what you want me to study I would love for you to tell me so I can research and write up a post about it.

Don't be afraid to list anything going on in your life. I will help the best I can and by helping you guys it helps me build my relationship with God.

Thanks
LO

FREE PHOTOS!

I am also a photographer over at Banded Bird Photography and enjoy getting 4X6 prints for what I call my "Brag Book". I do not like to spend a lot of money on them at all. I just don't see the point in spending tons of money on the little things when you can follow great blogs such as Super Frugal Stephanie and learn how to get things for a very low cost or for free.

So, I decided to do some research and found a company called York Photo. I had a 100 free prints for just signing up to their company! I figured "Hey, if a company will give you free product just for trying them out they must have something going on" Boy, Howdy! Do they ever! I loved the way my prints turned out! I have received so many compliments on my brag book (I really should come up with something better to call it) that I just had to write a review for the great company. I have since bought 1500 4X6 prints from them for multiple brag books because I can't keep them in my office.

I used a coupon that I received in my inbox from them and only paid .03 cents per image and free shipping on 100 prints or more ordered. I payed $45.00 (plus shipping of $5.74 each time) for something I would have paid $285 for at Walmart, or $225 at Walgreens.

How can you get these awesome deals too?
It's easy peasy...

If that is all you want, pay shipping (I don't have a free shipping code for it right now though)
Or if you want to pick up some 4X6 prints for .03 you can  use code: 3LIMITED
60% off designer posters use code: SIXTY
20% off & free shipping hard cover books use code: BOOK20

A picture of me holding the 4X6 prints I was going through!
Good luck!
As always please send me a picture or post on our Facebook of the great things you get! :)

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! For years people have told me that I should blog! Now, for starters I am not a couponista, a pro news anchor, a great chef, or any other things, just a down to earth Oklahoma Daughter! I have spent a lot of time doing crafts, reading books, watching movies, shopping, riding the prairie, chasing those barrels, and living life...apparently I am meant to be a blogger too! I will admit that I am a jane of all trades but we will see how often I blog, and how many followers I get!

I am a twenty-two year old female who is about to make the biggest move of my life. I am in a very very happily committed relationship with a wonderful man. We are not married, we have no children, scratch that - we have two amazing children... a Yorkie son TRIGGER (6 months old) and a beautiful daughter English Labrador Gunny (2 years old). We had fell in love with our life here in Wagoner, Oklahoma or so we thought. Then he got a job and it's moving us to Hollis, Oklahoma. I didn't know what to think...
We took our first load to the new house and that entire weekend was amazing...I am so happy to be moving!

I hope that I don't ramble on too much and that you absolutely enjoy following my blog!
